Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Prostate gland presenting as urinary retention in a child. - A case report

SUMMARY
A. E. an 8 yr old boy was referred from a peripheral hospital where he was being seen and managed for urinary tract infection (UTI) until he presented dramatically some weeks after in urinary retention. His retention was relieved by supra pubic cystostomy following which he was referred. He was found on examination to have a mass in the pelvis, trucut biopsy of the mass and histology showed it to be messenchymal rhabdomysarcoma of the prostate.
