DR. IBRAHIM ABUBAKAR KANA
Dr. Ibrahim Kana is an indigene of Nasarawa State born on the 19th of December, 1971 in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
He attended several primary schools in the old Plateau State and Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Ogun State and later completed his Secondary education in the famous Government College, Keffi.
He obtained his MB,BS in 1997 from the University of Jos and was admitted as a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (Ophthalmology) in 2007 after completing his residency training in Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria.
Currently he his the MD/CEO of Multiclinic Specialist Hospital, Kaduna and also a Consultant/Assistant Director in the Federal Ministry of Health Abuja, Nigeria.
He has been active and contributed his quota to the Medical Profession since his days in the University, where he was President of the Jos University Medical Students’ Association (JUMSA) at that time, He was appointed one of the two student members of the NMA/MEDICAL STUDENTS COMMITTEE charged with the responsibility of organizing the NIMSA 21st General Assembly. He later became NIMSA President and life member of the NIMSA.
He was elected Secretary NMA Kaduna State and later became the National Assistant Secretary General of the Association between 2006/2008.
He was Chairman of the NIMSA 31st General Assembly which saw to the election of the current NIMSA Executive.He was part of the NMA Delegate of the World Medical Association Assembly in Sun City South Africa in 2006.
