Section 15(2) of the Medical & Dental Practitioners Act Cap 221 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (1990) stipulates that there shall be a Medical & Dental Practitioners' Disciplinary Tribunal which shall consist of 11 members one of whom shall be the Chairman of Council and at least 2 of whom must be fully registered dental surgeons. The Tribunal which has the status of a High Court, shall adjudicate on all cases referred to it by the Investigating Panel which shall first and foremost establish that there is a prima facie case against the practitioner.
