Talk of following the tornado, that's similar to following the activities of the current National Officer's Committee [NOC].The NMA NOC search for a befitting secretariat for the association actually started a day after election. The President and Secretary-General got into Abuja on Sunday 27th April 2008 around 6 pm and worked actively from the offices of NMA Abuja till late in the night. They remembered to go to bed around 2am, were up at about by 5.30am. By 10am on Monday 28th of April 2008, a lot of work has been done. They were booked for a press conference by 10 am on that Monday morning but by 10.30am the press men were yet to arrive and so the President cancelled it on the grounds of lateness of the press men and they immediately left Abuja for the east of Nigeria. This signalled the beginning of BUSINESS UNUSUAL in National NMA. In the cover story, we did our best to gather information and where possible, directly follow the 'tornado' of activities of this vibrant NOC. It has been a long term belief of many a Nigerian and most of the developed world that nothing good will come out of Nigeria. The nefarious activities of a few dubious Nigerians have managed to grab the headlines but sometime in February, the headlines switched and became focused on possibility of a medical scientific breakthrough from Nigeria.
